Full-Time Programme

BC

Attention is not just another cognitive function. Attention is how our world comes into being for us. The altered nature of attention can appear to abolish parts of the world, collapse time and space, eviscerate emotion, and render the living inanimate. It is a profoundly moral act.

― Iain McGilchrist, The Matter With Things

Buckminster College is preparing to launch a groundbreaking international educational innovation for the middle and high school years (ages 10-18). Our comprehensive ‘Spaceship Earth’ curriculum is highly interdisciplinary, academically ambitious, psychologically insightful, and tailor-designed for students hungry of big-picture perspectives and deep-dive understandings. The school, operating within the International Baccalaureate framework, combines remote, well guided education at home with regular get-away residential sessions in the magical city of Bruges (Belgium).

Progress Update

BC

The full-time programme is being prepared to start in September 2024. For the first year, we plan to admit up to 54 students born between 2010 and 2012 (or in 2013-2014, if already graduated from the primary school). The full capacity of the school (144 students) will be reached within the first 2-3 years.
